Written by Mariah Carey and one of her idols, Carole King, (and produced with C&C Music Factory) this song roughly borrows the chord structure from “Waltz In A”, which is the closing theme from Saturday Night Live. The album version was recorded using SNL’s horn section, and when she performed it on SNL, the SNL horn section played with her band.
